about me picture
logan rockmore
i am currently a fourth-year Computer Science major attending the University of California, Davis. i am very experienced with C, C++, PHP, HTML, XML, CSS and Cocoa, while i have advanced knowledge with MySQL, Python, CGI scripts and AppleScript. i also have some experience using Perl scripts, Unix (Mac OS X) and Linux (Red Hat, Yellow Dog, Ubuntu). if you have any questions or comments, you can definitely contact me. you can also take a look at my resume.

there are three main projects that i have worked on. the first is Logan Rockmore Design, a web site design initiative which started with the design of the Kings Mountain Art Fair website in 1998. since then, i have designed quite a few more websites, including those for a consulting firm, a graphic designer, a calendar reform idea, a local newsletter archive and many more. a list of all the websites i've designed can be found by visiting the web design section.

the biggest project that i've invested my time in has been Assignment Planner. when first venturing off to college, i decided that i wanted a simple program in order to keep track of my homework assignments. since the fall of 2004, the program has become quite mature, including the porting over to Cocoa, Apple's native programming language. this has also inspired the creation of both Mail Unread Menu and NNW Unread Menu, two small Cocoa programs which sit in the menu bar and interact with Mail and NetNewsWire.

i've done a lot of work recently in the Computer Lab Management department at UC Davis. this has included work on both Macintosh systems administration and web application development. i continue to work at this job on a daily basis. more information about specific projects i've worked on can be found on the computer labs page.

most recently, i started working as an intern in the Documentation department at Apple. i began as a summer intern in 2007, but i continue to work remotely while finishing my degree.
